Prompt:
Design an interactive folly using light and tectonics to go in place of Solitude, a building on Virginia tech's campus that previously housed slaves. Assume Solitude burned down. The folly will be placed in a series of follies such as Bernard Tschumi's, and must relate to the structures neighboring it. Piece should be inspired by one of Bach's Goldberg Variations and focus on geometry. Must have 2+ walls, a ramp, 2 levels, and at least 9 columns.
Ethical considerations:
This would be built using reclaimed timber from Solitude.
There are 13 columns for the 13th amendment which abolished slavery.
Stained glass is used to shed colorful light on the site where solitude's "ruins" are, bringing light to a once very dark place.
Light studies to show how the stained glass
would affect the environment throughout the day.

My folly placement in relation to that of the rest of my group's on the site of Solitude, on the shore of the Duck Pond at Virginia Tech.
One of my first times using Autodesk Revit to model.
